AITC takes off at Avalon Airshow
4 March 2009
Since it started nearly two decades ago, the Avalon Airshow has been a "must see" event on the world aviation, aerospace and defence calendar.
Aerospace enthusiasts and industry representatives can see the future of aviation in Australia, watch the latest aerospace designs in action and have the opportunity to take their passion one step further with Kangan Batman TAFE's Aviation Industry Training Centre (AITC) stand.
A regular at the Avalon Airshow, the AITC is joining forces this year with leading global company Lufthansa Technical Training (LTT) to offer comprehensive training options for the Australian market.
AITC manager Mike Heffey says the airshow is the perfect forum to announce a new partnership set to take aviation training to a new level.
"We're pleased to announce this new partnership between Lufthansa Technical Training and the AITC, which will officially be signed off on Wednesday March 11," he says.
"This marks a new era of training delivery throughout Victoria, enhancing our capacity to provide end-to-end training with the backing of one of the world's leading training companies."
Industry partnerships form an integral part of the AITC's future growth, with the recent purchase of a Boeing 737 and CASA certification to deliver the latest aircraft maintenance training enhancing training opportunities and experiences for students.
Visitors to the AITC and LTT stand at the Avalon Airshow will be treated to interactive displays, a business card drop point and the chance to win prizes.
"With qualified aviation teachers on hand to share advice, experience and guidance, visitors to our stand can kick-start their careers in aviation and find out more about what we can offer," Mike says.
"We're also taking part in a cross-promotional campaign with Skills Victoria, promoting the state as a leading centre for aircraft maintenance training."
The AITC is the market leader in quality accredited aviation maintenance training for domestic and international markets within the Asia-Pacific region and is the only CAR30-and CA100.66 approved Victorian training centre, making it Victoria's largest purpose-built training facility for the aviation industry.
Visit the AITC and LTT display at stand number 2A17 at the Avalon Airshow from March 10 to 15, 2009.
