Our People

The Aviation Industry Training Centre actively consults and collaborates with all areas of the aviation industry in Australia.

AITC staff members are involved with the following bodies:

  • Manufacturing Skills Australia (MSA): Aerospace Planned Maintenance Working Group
  • National Aeroskills RTO Community of Practice (NARTOCoP): AITC manager is a founding member for this national group, which represents all RTO's involved in aircraft maintenance training.
  • Composites Institute of Australia
  • Facing the Future Aviation Consultancy Group
  • Australian Defence Force Reserves
  • Aeronautical Engineers Society
  • Victorian Aviation Strategy Committee
  • Australian Security Industry Association (ASIAL)

Qualifications & Experience

Staff members involved in the delivery of training meet all requirements under Australian Quality Training Framework guidelines and standards of competency.

All AITC staff members have industry backgrounds related to their specific areas of delivery and are qualified teacher/trainers in accordance with delivery requirements of the National Training Package.

Approval has also been gained from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority for the following areas:
